Yesterday (12th May 2020) my Prime Minister in his address to the nation announced a stimulus package worth ₹ 20 Lakh Crore (10% of India's GDP) to deal with the economic crisis arisen due to COVID-19 pandemic. By many, this was seen as a masterstroke by the Government to alleviate the current crisis. He further communicated that the details of the package will be given by the Finance Minister in coming days, post the announcement. The Prime Minister in his speech further assured that the package would provide relief to majorly all sectors, be it small or large industries, farmers, MSMEs, etc. etc. As soon as the package was announced the Indian National Congress took no time to criticise the move and straight away disapproved of it. They didn’t even have the patience to wait for the Finance Minister to share details of the package.
